Now, Marc Benioff is founder and co-CEO of Salesforce, a renowned name in the cloud computing industry. The commencement of this company was done in the year 1999 but Benioff was drawn towards technology since very young age. At the very young age, Benioff founded a company Liberty software which was a one man company and developed a number of games for Atari 800 computers and started receiving royalties of $1500 per month which was sufficient for his further studies. Further studies of Benioff were done from University Of Southern California and as a summer internship he joined Apple as a programmer in the Macintosh division and worked under cofounder Steve Jobs. Here Benioff decided to continue his career as a programmer but as destined one of his professor suggested him to be an entrepreneur with a clue that he is having a better business mind. After his college he started working as a customer support with one of the best companies Oracle and has gained a crown of “Rookie of the Year.” This was his first achievement as an employee at the age of 23, then his second achievement was at the age of 26 when he was named as the vice-president of the company and was the youngest person to hold this post in the history of that company.
Benioff served Oracle company for 13 years and after that he started working for a new idea and new company named Salesforce and the basic idea behind this great project was to allow access of business apps to the people from their web browsers. This was a revolutionary idea in the sector of technology and it gained popularity very soon.
