A Very Interesting Approach to Maintain Energy Efficiency in Data Center

The geniuses of man continue to imagine and create worthwhile things that will help operate any business at a maximum level. This has been the scenario we’ve always seen if you closely look into the lives of scientists and IT programmers. This time the result of their imagination and geniuses was a software that helps maximize efficiency in a data center. The purpose of which is to satisfy the so-called increasing workload densities, which is also established due to the advances in server equipment. This is also due to the so-called increased demand for greater data center power consumption, computer power, etc. We should know that energy efficiency measures should be considered highly important especially for the data center designers, owners and operators.

There is this so-called white paper that originated from Schneider Electric which introduces the software-based approach to data gathering, analysis that is also necessary in the application of successful measures for energy efficiency for data centers. It talked on the importance of energy efficiency which is the most pressing concerns of many of the data center operators. How to strategically manage a data center is also among the basic features discussed on said white paper. It also gave a review on energy models which include load shedding, energy storage and peak shaving.
Meanwhile, Facebook has confirmed recently that it will be opening its own data center in Lulea. As this developed, Officials in Sweden are now pretty excited for the coming investments of one of biggest social networking giant of the world. In fact, a huge ice sculpture of “Like” symbol is now visible in the area, welcoming the Facebook’s data center opening.

Officials in Sweden have also made Facebook’s biggest investment as one of their marketing campaigns, advertising the country as another ideal destination for data center projects in the future. They are reportedly marketing the country as the next haven for more companies to establish data centers in the country.

There are now at least ten Swedish regions which have unified to boost their campaigns to attract more data centers. The move was also fully supported by the Swedish Government in an effort to gain more exposure and eventually invite large investors from the United States and other developed countries of the world. Through its investment promotion agency known as Invest Sweden, they have scheduled a tour in Silicon Valley purposely to meet with IT company officials.
